My take on The Kelsey at Scofield Farms
Up on West Howard Lane near I-35, The Kelsey at Scofield Farms is a 2024 garden-style community managed by ZRS, and the grounds are the reason to look. The video shows a resort pool ringed with loungers, a clubhouse with exposed wood beams and a big iron chandelier, a garden of stock-tank planters on terraced limestone, and a balcony looking straight into mature trees. There is also a separate lap pool. Homes have in-unit washers and dryers and large patios with storage.
Base rents start at $1,245 for a one-bedroom, $1,652 for a two-bedroom with two baths and $2,167 for a three-bedroom, quoted on 15 to 16-month terms on the official site. There is no special right now, so the base rent is the real rent, plus a fixed $113 a month for Spectrum internet and cable, trash, packages, pest and a water base charge. That puts a one-bedroom at about $1,358 and a three-bedroom at about $2,280, before metered utilities and required renters insurance.
I-35 is about 3 minutes away, the Apple campus on Parmer about 10, the Domain about 15 and downtown about 25 outside rush hour. You will drive for everything. Carports are $35 a month and garages $150 if you want covered parking. Tip: ask which buildings face the tree line, like the balcony in the tour, because that view is a big part of the appeal.

- you want lower rents with a big resort-style pool complex, garages or carports, and quick I-35 access in the Pflugerville ISD area
- Look elsewhere if
- you want walkability or a short commute to central Austin, or have a dog over 50 lb
- The catch
- Far north on Howard Lane near I-35, so downtown and Domain trips mean freeway driving, and about $113/mo in required fees (internet/cable, trash, package) sits on top of rent. 50-lb pet weight cap and a long breed list.
