My take on Rivette Tower
Mueller's old airport control tower is the landmark here, and Rivette's rooftop deck looks right at it. Ryan Companies built it in 2024: two buildings of 3 to 5 stories, 345 homes, LEED Gold, managed by Greystar. From the floor plans you get 10 to 12 foot ceilings, in-unit laundry, built-in desks in some plans, and one- and two-bedroom layouts with an office. Mueller Lake Park is a 5-minute walk and the farmers market is about 8.
Studios start at $1,711 and one-bedrooms at $1,902, but those are 15-month lease prices. ApartmentList shows up to 6 weeks free, while the official site shows none and a July review said 4 weeks, so this needs confirming. At 6 weeks on 15 months, the studio nets about $1,553. Add the required $96 a month, $70 of it internet, and you are near $1,649 before power and water. A reserved garage spot is about $75 more.
Downtown and UT are each about 10 to 12 minutes by car, the airport 15, and H-E-B Mueller a 4-minute drive. Google reviews average 4.4 from 164 ratings, with complaints about noise between floors, outages on the required internet, and package theft. Tip: ask for a top-floor home if footsteps bother you, and ask whether any of the roughly 50 homes held for 60% of area median income are open. Those rents depend on household income, and I can check eligibility.

- you want to walk to Mueller's lake, H-E-B and farmers market from a LEED Gold building with a rooftop deck and garage parking

- you are price-sensitive on the total monthly cost, or need quiet floors
- The catch
- Rents are near the top for East Austin, and about $96/mo or more in required add-ons (including $70 internet) comes on top. Some residents report noise between floors and outages on the required internet.
