My take on Loyola Junction
Out on Ed Bluestein Boulevard by Loyola Lane, Loyola Junction is a 2025 garden-style community: 396 homes in 3-story buildings, managed by Gallery Residential. The tour shows what sets it apart, a row of garage buildings with homes on the level above. Inside you get granite, wood-style vinyl floors, ceiling fans in every room and full-size laundry. Some homes are multi-story or loft-style, and the video shows a loft with a half wall looking over the room below.
One-bedrooms start at $1,243 and two-bedrooms at $1,969 on Zillow, among the lowest new-build rents in East Austin. There is no confirmed special. Older snippets mentioned weeks free, but nothing current does, so base rent is close to your real cost. One locator lists valet trash at $35 a month, which would put the cheapest one-bedroom near $1,278, and a garage at $150 more. Both numbers are unverified, so I would get the fee sheet first.
This is car country. The Walk Score is 21, US 183 is a minute away, and Mueller's H-E-B is about 12 minutes by car. Downtown and UT are about 15. The Route 337 bus stop is about a 5-minute walk. The saltwater pool, the coworking lounge with private Zoom rooms and a walking trail fill in for what the area lacks. Tip: ask about garage price and availability when you put a hold on a unit, not after you move in.

- you want a new garden-style community with some of the lowest new-construction rents in East Austin, in-unit laundry, and quick highway access to 183
- Look elsewhere if
- you want to walk to restaurants and coffee or need a short drive to downtown and South Congress
- The catch
- Very car-dependent (Walk Score 21) on the Ed Bluestein / US 183 frontage, farther from central East Austin than most new builds; garages and valet trash add to the monthly cost.
