My take on Alta Wildhorse Ranch
These are townhome-style homes, three stories with no one above or below you, out where US-290 meets SH-130 on the way to Manor. Greystar runs the 267 homes, which opened in 2024. Every available plan is big for the price: 1,015 square feet for a one-bedroom and up to 1,892 for a three-bedroom. Many come with an attached one- or two-car garage and a fenced yard. Inside, the floor plans show granite, a full laundry room and Nest thermostats. Outside there is a pool with cabanas and a small on-site market.
Base rents on available homes run $1,906 to $2,450 on 12-month terms. Up to 12 weeks free takes a $1,906 two-bedroom to about $1,466 and a $1,950 one-bedroom to about $1,500. Fixed fees are low here, $50.45 a month for trash, pest and admin charges, plus metered gas, water and electric. So the $1,906 home lands near $1,517 before utilities. The smaller studio and one-bedroom plans had no availability, so $1,906 is the real floor today.
Everything here means a drive. Manor's H-E-B is about 10 minutes, Samsung about 15, Tesla about 20 and downtown about 20 without traffic. Walter E. Long park is about 8 minutes. You get space and a garage for the money, and you give up walkability. Tip: ask which homes have the two-car garage, because it varies by plan.

- you want a townhome with an attached garage, fenced yard and no shared walls above or below, and want low published fixed fees (about $50/mo) plus up to 12 weeks free
- Look elsewhere if
- you need a short commute to the Domain or central Austin, or want to walk to restaurants and shops
- The catch
- It is far out on the US-290/SH-130 edge toward Manor, so almost every trip means driving, with little nearby beyond basics. The smaller studio and 1-bed flats were not available, so the cheapest available home is about $1,906 base.
